Progress...

Thus far I have refined my essay topic to learning about cajun\creole culture. I plan to speak to locals and learn about their heritage. My biggest struggle has been locating individuals in the area surrounding New orleans to meet with.

    As you speak to some of these contacts, I would start to make notes on other types of photographs that will round out the essay. Think ultimately of the final book that you will publish. In terms of pacing, it may be helpful to also have shots of details between portraits and the back doors. Are there objects or items that are representative of the culture? Take copious notes while speaking with your contacts.
